This is Coach Green's second season with the Mountain
View Squires, second coaching year at the Jr. High/Middle School
level. He has been teacher at Mountain View since the start
of the 2006-07 school year.
Green hails from Crescent City, Calif., were he
played two-years of varsity football for AAA Del Norte High,
as a nose guard. His senior year he received Honorable Mention
All-Humboldt Del Norte League honors.
Following high school graduation (1996), Green
enrolled at Humbolt State University (Arcata, Calif.), where
he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in History and
teaching endorsements in social studies and english.
Before being hired at Mountain View, Green's exposure
to Kitsap County was limited to a job fair and vacations to
visit his parents, Rex and Dianne Green, who have lived in the
area since the early 2000's.. "I loved it when I came to
visit," Green said. "I knew it would be a great place
to teach and raise my family."
Rex and his wife Malia live in East Bremerton,
Wash., with their three children - Hunter, Larry and Cynari
(twins).
